Who operates JournaScope

JournaScope is a public beta journal discovery and decision-support service. Privacy questions can be sent to support@journascope.com.

Search requires sign-in

Public marketing, methodology, blog, legal, and transparency pages can be browsed without signing in. Journal search actions require a secure magic-link sign-in.

Manuscript text is not stored by default

JournaScope does not store raw manuscript titles, abstracts, or keywords by default during journal search. If users choose to save searches or submit corrections, the relevant information may be stored for that purpose.

Session and private search payloads

Search can use browser session storage to move title, abstract, and keyword text from the search form to the results page. This session-scoped payload is removed after use where the current workflow supports it.

Correction and contact submissions

If you email corrections, submit a journal update, or contact JournaScope, we may process the details you provide, such as journal name, ISSN, correction text, source URL, email address, and notes.

Analytics events

JournaScope may use privacy-safe analytics such as category demand, filter usage, and page interaction metadata. Optional analytics should be used only after consent where consent is required.

Cookies and storage

Strictly necessary cookies and storage support security, routing, private search sessions, admin access, and cookie preferences. Optional functional or analytics storage is controlled through cookie preferences.

Researcher accounts

Researcher accounts use passwordless magic links and HttpOnly session cookies. Account data and saved project data should be processed only for the features users choose to use.

Retention principles

JournaScope keeps operational, correction, and analytics records only as long as needed for public beta operation, data-quality review, security, and product improvement.

Processors and services

JournaScope may rely on hosting, database, email, analytics, and infrastructure providers. These services should process data only for JournaScope operation and security.

User rights and contact

To ask privacy questions, request deletion of a submitted correction, or raise a data concern, contact support@journascope.com.

Beta product notice

JournaScope is currently a beta product. This policy may be updated as the product adds accounts, saved searches, additional consent controls, or new support workflows.
